Professor Valery Bondur, Lifetime Honorary Academician of the IEAS UK Centre, is a distinguished Russian space Earth scientist and Vice President of the Russian Academy of Sciences. He serves as President of the International Eurasian Academy of Sciences and was elected a Foreign Member of the Chinese Academy of Sciences in 2017. He is recognised globally for his pioneering contributions to aerospace remote sensing, environmental monitoring, and the theoretical foundations of space-based Earth observation systems.

Professor Donald V. Helmberger (1938–2020) , elected an Academician of the IEAS UK Centre in 2002, was the Smits Family Professor of Geophysics Emeritus at the California Institute of Technology. A pioneering seismologist, he revolutionised quantitative waveform modelling for earthquake sources and Earth structure. Professor Colin Blakemore FRS (1944–2022) , elected an Academician of the IEAS UK Centre in 2008, was a world-renowned neurobiologist and a passionate advocate for neuroscience research. He was Emeritus Professor of Neuroscience at the University of Oxford and held the Yeung Kin Man Chair of Neuroscience at City University of Hong Kong. Professor David Vere-Jones (1936–2024) , elected an Academician of the IEAS UK Centre in 2005, was a distinguished statistician and a founding figure in statistical seismology. Emeritus Professor of Mathematics at Victoria University of Wellington, he pioneered the application of stochastic point processes to earthquake occurrence, magnitude distribution, and aftershock modelling.
